The Team
This record attempt wouldn’t be possible without the incredible work that Sarah’s support team do behind the scenes to keep her rolling.
Ryan
Ryan led Sarah’s LEJOGLE world record in 2025, working as hard as she did to achieve it. Afterwards they agreed “we’re never doing that again.”
…so naturally, they’re back doing it again.
This year he’s leading the One Way North team, and he’s been the driving force behind all of the pre-challenge preparations.
Crew Chief
James and Sarah met ahead of Sarah’s first TCR and they’ve worked together to capture her adventures ever since!
James built this website, our pitch deck, kept somewhat level-headed when Sarah forgot to dial into meetings, and helped them both realise the impact of practising diabolical self-belief.
This year James is leading the media team and will be live-reporting on Sarah’s progress from the road.
Head of Media
James
Dan
Dan is a LEJOGLE legend, making a comeback as Captain of Crew Team A and leader of all logistics once we land in Tarifa.
Last year he kept Sarah alive by hanging out of a moving vehicle with a boom box and a megaphone, screaming “GUESS THAT CLASSIC ROCK SONG” at 3am like it was a public service. (It wasn’t.)
He also pioneered performance analytics in endurance sport with the now-infamous Highway Poo Tracker™️ - a dataset no one asked for, but everyone somehow became invested in.
Crew Team A Captain
lena
Crew Team B Captain
By day, Lena’s a personal injury lawyer specialising in accidents on two wheels. By every other hour, she’s going full send - CrossFit, Hyrox, ultra-cycling, trekking to Everest base camp… you name it, she’s done it!
As one of our two crew captains, Lena runs a tight ship. We’ve made it known that anyone failing to follow the rules will find themselves facing formal proceedings, and trust us, she knows how to win those 😅⚖️
Andy
Andy is LEJOGLE royalty. Not content with one world record, he’s back for more!
The man doesn’t stop. Ultras. Fell racing. Orienteering. Yoga. (In fact, I had to attend my first yoga class in years to corner him and ask him to make a comeback!)
We’re lucky to have him, because when he’s not racing he’s trekking around the world with his lovely wife Val - this year they’re headed back to Nepal.
Athlete Support
Ben
Medic and Route Builder
Ben holds two crucial roles - medic and route builder.
He’s spent nearly a decade on the front line with the NHS ambulance service. In his spare time he “dabbles” in ultracycling, having completed a small race called the Transcontinental in 2025.
As route planner, he’s so efficient we’ve had to add a dog leg just to reach the 6000km minimum.
As our medic, he’ll be overseeing Sarah’s health as she works to achieve the record.
vedangi
Vedangi has circumnavigated the world by bicycle (twice!), skied expeditions in the Arctic, and spends her spare time riding her mountain bike and plotting remote expeditions.
Having grown up in Maharashtra, India and relocated to the Scottish highlands, she brings a unique perspective to adventure sport and speaks powerfully about fear, expectations, and failure across cultures.
Athlete Support
pete
Mechanic
Pete is a highly respected frame builder, with wins at Bespoked and features in Cyclist Magazine. He’s also a familiar presence at major events, captaining the broom wagon at races like Via Race which provides roving mechanical support to athletes racing thousands of miles.
He led the bike build and was head mechanic for Lejogle last year - we had no mechanicals, no punctures. Let’s hope the trend continues!
Dom
Dom comes from the sharp end of endurance sport, being a 3-time winner of one of Germany’s toughest ultra running races.
These days, after what he calls “wrecked bones,” he’s channelled that same grit into ultra-distance cycling, finishing the Three Peaks Race in 2025 with more to come.
Dom is someone who shows up no matter what, and he understands what it takes to sit right on the edge.
Athlete Support
Hannah
Hannah is the person Sarah trusts to be her voice on the road when she can’t find the words.
She’ll be living in the media car for 2 weeks with her husband (our Head of Media) James so they can report live 24/7, which honestly will be an endurance event in itself.
Content Lead
rob
Rob is Sarah’s performance coach, and has worked with her since the beginning of her cycling journey.
Rob specialises in endurance and ultra-endurance coaching for bike, run and multisport athletes of all levels and from all over the world.
He offers performance coaching to cyclists - mountain bike, road, gravel, TT, e-sport - and ultra athletes, as well as professional sportspersons who require elite-level fitness such as motor racing drivers and jockeys.

Lizzie
Lizzie is the PR powerhouse who helped put Sarah’s incredible LEJOGLE achievement in front of millions of people through national and international publications.
She’s back this year to help us reach an even bigger audience for One Way North, where we might even be putting her Norwegian language skills to the test!
